Windows

The server program, for Windows: MTPlayer-1-7-1-10-QC-WIN.zip [developed by Bome Software].

Mac OSX

The server program, for Mac OSX: MTPlayer-1-7-1-10-QC-OSX.zip [developed by Bome Software].

Mac users can use the standard Apple Network MIDI Session, instead of using this server program; we find our protocol gives better latency in a wider variety of network environments. See the User Manual for more information.

Propellerhead’s Reason & Record

These drivers and control map allow Instrumental to integrate with Propellerhead’s Reason, Record, and Reason Essentials. They provide dynamically-updated control labels, text readouts, stereo meters, and more. V3 of the control map adds support for the new devices added in Reason 6 & Reason Essentials.

Example MIDI Control Maps

Instrumental supports custom MIDI control maps defined in text files. This means you can label your MIDI messages once, and then forget about MIDI as you use your nicely labelled controls, even when reconfiguring new surfaces.

The user manual describes the detail of the control map files; here’s a simple example: Minimal.InstrumentalMap.txt

Instrumental has a “[Factory] Standard” control map built in. If you like the standard map but want to make changes to it, here it is:  Standard.InstrumentalMap.txt
